Internal Opportunity: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intervention Specialist to join our team as a Lead Intervention Specialist in our TES Academy Fairlawn. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years experience working directly with students who have a wide array of disabilities, demonstrating a strong understanding of functions of behavior , behavior interventions as well as individualized education programs (IEPs) and evidence-based interventions.
This key role will involve providing direct support within classroom settings, offering expert behavioral coaching and mentorship to both teachers and instructional assistants, and actively participating as a valued member of both the TES Academy's behavior support and administrative teams. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the overall success and comprehensive support for our students and staff.
💼 Position: Lead Intervention Specialist
💰 Salary: $4610 - $6044.67/monthly*
*Salary based on relevant experience, certification, education, and use of a second language in your role (50% or more of the time).

TES Academy is a non-public charter school serving students ages 3-21. Many public districts in northeast Ohio contract with us to assist in educating their students who require more intensive instruction. Our classroom sizes are small and teacher/student ratios are low, enabling students to receive the personal attention they need and deserve.

We’re Looking For Educators Who:
- Hold a valid Special Education credential and ODE license and at least 4 years experience
- De-escalation Training and comfortable/able to perform physical interventions
- Have excellent leadership and coaching skills
- Understanding of functions of behavior and appropriate interventions
- Ability to write behavior intervention plans and provide training to teams on plans
Additional Requirements
- Background check clearance (BCI/FBI)
- TB test within the last 12 months
- Automobile insurance meeting 25/50k liability coverage
- Access to mobile phone/email and basic internet if working offsite
Work Environment
- Primarily school-based with some varied settings (classrooms, resource rooms, small group areas)
